Castle Grey Guide collects as little personal information as necessary to operate the Guide and its email notices.

Email subscriptions

If you subscribe to Castle Grey Guide, we collect your email address so that we can send you occasional notices from the Guide.

Subscriptions use double opt-in. After submitting your address, you must confirm it through the confirmation email before the subscription becomes active.

We also retain limited records associated with the subscription, including its status, source, consent version and relevant subscription, confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps. Confirmation and unsubscribe credentials are stored as cryptographic hashes rather than as the original tokens.

We do not sell subscriber information.

We do not use the subscription system for behavioural advertising, subscriber profiling or third-party marketing analytics.

Service providers

Castle Grey Guide uses Cloudflare to operate the website, process subscription requests and maintain the subscriber database.

We use Resend to deliver subscription confirmation and other Castle Grey Guide emails.

These providers process information on our behalf as necessary to provide those services. Resend may process and store email-related data in the United States. Its sending-region configuration does not determine where that data is stored.

Retention

We retain subscription information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer your subscription, maintain an appropriate record of consent and unsubscribe status, and meet applicable legal or operational requirements.

If you unsubscribe, we may retain a limited record of that status so that your preference can be respected.

Your choices

Every Castle Grey Guide subscription email will provide a way to unsubscribe.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your subscription, subject to any information we are required or reasonably need to retain.
